Agua for the Earth at EXPO Venice

On 15 July 2015, at EXPO Venice, a press conference was held for the world launch of “Agua for the Earth”, social responsibility campaign promoted by the Chinese cosmetic multinational Wetherm in collaboration with Only Italia, Italian platform chaired by Irene Pivetti. Other important topic of the conference was the introduction of an ambitious cultural project: the Digital Cultural Heritage School (DiCultHer), networked school for the development of digital culture. Only Italia and DiCultHer presented then their catalogue of cultural events being held in the Only Italia pavilion at EXPO Milan and EXPO Venice Aquae. Culture as fundamental asset for development

Next 15 July, at the venue of Expo Venice, DiCultHer and Only Italia are presenting their catalogue-programme of cultural events taking place in the Expo framework during the next months. DiCultHer and Only Italia intend to show many of the beautiful things surrounding our daily life and explain to the interlocutors (business visitors, delegates from local and national governments) that culture is a strategic investment, which intelligently implemented can support development and relations among communities. International model for an eSchool in DCH

On Monday 29 June 2015, the networked school of digital cultural heritage, arts and humanities was presented at the Aula Magna Cavallerizza Reale of Turin’s University. It is an Italian model, conceived on a European and international perspective, grouping together over fifty organisations with the aim of creating a “scattered campus”, able to activate a nationally coordinated training offer which constructs a complex of digital competences. Its aim is to develop a regional network of individuals and groups interested in aggregating, sharing and reusing open data for GLAMs, education institutions and tourism stakeholders. China and Italy debate on agriculture and sustainability

The Chinese delegation of the Bureau of Beijing International Horticultural Exhibition and of institutional representatives from Beijing’s Municipality was in an official mission last week at the Only Italia space of Aquae Venezia. During a Round Table, China and Italy discussed about biological agriculture, environmental sustainability and global development of the fruit & vegetable industry.
