Europeana Space Opening Conference

The core topic of the conference was how to enable a creative re-use of digital cultural content thus unlocking the business potential of cultural heritage and fostering the creation of new jobs and economic growth. A very interested audience almost fulfilled the parterre of the former theater, now conference venue. As a side activity, in the afetrnoon of the second day the registered participants could visit the Venice incubator H-Farm, an inspiring environment for creativity and technology. Continue reading

RICHES at the EUROPEAN WORKSHOP ON REFLECTIVE SOCIETIES

The European Commission, Directorate General for Research and Innovation, unit B6 Reflective Societies, in cooperation with the FLASH-IT project kindly organises the workshop “Bridge over troubled waters? The link between European historical heritage and the future of European integration” being held in Rome, on the 17th of October 2014. The workshop revolves around the problematic of the interconnectedness of the past, present and the future in the current European societies and brings together specialists of history, cultural heritage and identity studies as well as policy makers and managers from the European Commission and national funding bodies.
