I AM: the calls for AR products are launched!

After the call for the best video mapping projects to be projected on the external façade of Lo Quarter, Municipality of Alghero publishes the call for apps addressed to children, apt to promote the archaeological site of nuraghe Palmavera, and the call for innovative audio-visual products based on remote controlled devices. I AM calls for projects in augmented reality

As leader of project “I AM – International Augmented Med”, Municipality of Alghero aims to pinpoint projects able to promote and improve, through state-of-the-art augmented reality (AR) technologies, the cultural and environmental heritage of its territory for tourism development. Innovate your photographic heritage and your future business!

Prof. Fred Truyen of KU Leuven recently published an interesting article on his Digital Culture blog, under the title “Europeana Space Photo pilot: Innovate your photographic heritage … and your future business!” The article tells the commitment the E-Space project is devoting through its Photo Pilot to demonstrating a range of possibilities offered by apps, Europeana API’s and a multitude of tools developed by the open source community to come up with innovative models involving historical and present-day photography, with monetising potential and investment appeal.
