Tomorrows and Yesterdays exhibition feat. Mads Nissen

Photographic exhibition “Tomorrows and Yesterdays: Mads Nissen Meets Europe’s First Photographers” is opening on 13 May 2015 and running till 2 August 2015 at the premises of Arbejdeermuseet, one of the founding members of PHOTOCONSORTIUM. Here, award-winning Danish photographer Mads Nissen will juxtapose the original selection of around 100 early photographs from the All Our Yesterdays show with his own vision and reflections. Emissary in the Squat of Gods, by Ian Cheng

From April 23 to August 30, 2015, Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo presents “Emissary in the Squat of Gods”, a solo exhibition of Ian Cheng, curated by Hans Ulrich Obrist, Director of London’s Serpentine Galleries. In Cheng’s art, the protagonist is technology, viewed as the product of the natural evolution of human nature, which today has the power to modify our bodies as well as our perceptual abilities. Ballade of Women for women’s right

Ballade of Women is an interactive installation that explores perspectives on women’s rights. Through the lens of the personal experience of three women, the exhibition offers an interactive narration on three fundamental themes: emancipation, self-determination and violence. In the installation, representations of three paintings are fragmented and float in the space; set on rotating spindles, these fragments resist attempts by the viewer to capture them as a whole. Europeana Photography: grand-final

The conference title is The Impact of Digitization on Photographic Heritage: Memories Reframed and took place on 29-30 January. The second instance of All Our Yesterdays took place from February 1 to March 15, 2015, in Campus Library Arenberg – Heverlee and Tweebronnen Library – Leuven (BE).
