Civic Epistemologies at Digital Heritage 2015

Civic Epistemologies was presented in a panel session entitled “From Digitisation to Preservation, Creative Re-use of Cultural Content and Citizen Participation” at the DIGITAL HERITAGE 2015 conference in Granada (28 September – 2 October 2015). The panel, taking place on 1 October 2015, offered an overview of initiatives and EU projects Europeana Space, RICHES, Civic Epistemologies, PREFORMA, and Photoconsortium. Relevant speakers fostered a debate to understand the path towards a more advanced society, that makes use of the full potential of digital technologies to foster cultural and societal progress. NALIS Forum 2015 successfully concluded

The fourth NALIS Forum (Sofia, 12 May 2015) concluded successfully, attended by many international experts from leading libraries and library networks, museums, universities and cultural organisations. Among the special guests, delegates of the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture. Antonella Fresa of Promoter SRL took part in the conference as invited speaker. Lecturers (from Europe and USA) shared their experience in local and global collaboration (not only within the library community, but also within the IT community) in the framework of projects involving the digitisation of cultural heritage, creative re-use of digitised cultural contents and citizen participation.
