On the 13th of October 2015, the Joint Pictures Experts Group (JPEG) organised a workshop in Brussels on privacy and security support for image data. As privacy, security and IPR are critical issues when dealing with digitised cultural contents, the workshop was targeted on understanding industry, user and policy needs in terms of technology and supported functionalities. Bert Lemmens from PACKED, Peter Bubestinger from the Austrian Mediathek and Tessa Fallon from MediaArea presented the PREFORMA project, the work done towads the adoption and standardisation of FFv1 as a digital preservation format and MediaConch, at the FIAT/IFTA World Conference 2015.
