Meeting at the annual eLearning Africa Ministerial Round Table at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa, ministers and senior officials from 15 African countries said that, as the average age of Africa’s population is getting younger every year, the continent faces both a growing challenge and a significant opportunity. On 16 February, in Rome, at Istituto Luigi Sturzo and ISIA Roma, the Italian Association of Cultural Institutes (AICI) met several public and private cultural institutions, foundations, enterprises and research companies for starting the innovative educational project “Networked School of Digital Cultural Heritage, Arts and Humanities”. The project, promoted by AICI, aims to achieve an international virtual school for the acquisition of proficiency in the field of the digital services applied to cultural heritage.
