Shystone contrasts old London with the new through Google Earth and fine art

Using 18th and 19th Century paintings, Shystone has created a series of photographs that juxtaposition old London with the modern-day city. Pause Fest 2014: be creative and stay connected!

Third edition of Melbourne’s digital festival is being held from the 13th to the 16th of February 2014 and this time its theme will be “Connected”, because staying connected to the present and to the past is vital for the creative community: by recognizing how each step taken before has influenced the state of the digital world today, we can understand how every great innovation made now will influence the thinkers of tomorrow. Airspace animation is the second collaborative project of Rich Nosworthy and SonoSanctus from Auckland, New Zealand. Arts Brookfield aims to ‘Set Art Free’

Art Set Free is a campaign that aims to put artwork into contact with the public without costs, via the platform of digital media. Arts Brookfield, the organiser of this project, brings many arts events to communities, based on the idea of the democratisation of culture. Contributions can be submitted by all members of the public years 18 and over, by using the hashtag “#artsetfree” and uploading the piece from a Facebook , Twitter or Instagram account.
