The Outreach of Digital Libraries: a Globalized Resource Network

With the advent of the Internet, the past decades have seen a burgeoning of digital libraries. Researchers, scholars, and professionals have come to recognize the importance of digital libraries and the convenience they might bring to the society. As resource sharing becomes common, the focus of digital libraries has been shifted from the needs of the academics to major issues that involve both the general public and professionals of diverse disciplines. With the creation and the significant increase in the use of digital content, the digital libraries become essential not only in preserving the cultural heritage but in educating the society as well.

Innovative Libraries In a Digital Environment

The 2015 edition of the Joint Conference on Digital Libraries will be held from June 21st to 25th, 2015 at the University of Tennessee Conference Center in Knoxville, Tennessee, USA. This year theme is "Large, Dynamic and Ubiquitous –The Era of the Digital Library".
Combined Conference JCDL & TPDL 2014
In 2014 the Joint Conference on Digital Libraries (JCDL) and the International Conference on Theory and Practice of Digital Libraries (TPDL) will be held together as the International Digital Libraries Conference (DL2014). The themes of the 2014 TPDL/JCDL combined conference will follow the theme of ‘preserving the past - finding the future’.
