Olivetti: over 100 years of culture and innovation

Since the first Italian factory of typewriters, created in Ivrea by Camillo Olivetti, more than 100 years have passed. Piedmont’s city Ivrea even now remains symbol of the project of a worldwide popular enterprise. On occasion of the firm’s centenary, in 2008 the Fondazione Adriano Olivetti opened a new operating seat in Ivrea, at Adriano Olivetti’s house, and started a multi-year programme for the development of the Knowledge Society (so called in the Lisbon Agenda), with the aim of converging culture, knowledge and innovation towards the implementation of business, higher education and research institutions in Piedmont. International model for an eSchool in DCH

On Monday 29 June 2015, the networked school of digital cultural heritage, arts and humanities was presented at the Aula Magna Cavallerizza Reale of Turin’s University. It is an Italian model, conceived on a European and international perspective, grouping together over fifty organisations with the aim of creating a “scattered campus”, able to activate a nationally coordinated training offer which constructs a complex of digital competences. ECIA concluded in Amsterdam for a new start

On 27-28 November 2014, in Amsterdam, the European Creative Industries Alliance (ECIA) presented and discussed ten policy recommendations following their three years of work. The recommendations are described and supported with concrete cases in the ECIA final report. Funding for innovation in the creative industries

Golant Media Ventures organised a free workshop on funding for innovation in the creative industries, held on 16 February in London at the Digital Catapult Centre. The workshop aimed to indicate how to create business models in order to maximise the value of creative contents and intellectual properties.
