A 3777Supported by the European Commission, the 25th annual eChallenges e-2015 Conference takes place in Vilnius, Lithuania from 25 – 27 November. Focused on Applied ICT addressing major Societal Challenges, and showcasing strategic keynote presentations, technical and policy papers, case studies and workshops, eChallenges brings together senior representatives from leading commercial, government and research organisations around the world to share knowledge and experience, lessons learnt, good practice and innovation.

Meeting at the annual eLearning Africa Ministerial Round Table at the African Union Headquarters in Addis Ababa, ministers and senior officials from 15 African countries said that, as the average age of Africa’s population is getting younger every year, the continent faces both a growing challenge and a significant opportunity. The Ministerial Round Table provided an opportunity to discuss how to use Africa’s increasingly young population to entrench long-term economic growth.
European ICT Proposers’ day 2014
On 9-10 October 2014, at Fortezza da Basso, in Florence, is being held the ICT Proposers’ Day 2014: a networking event to promote European ICT Research & Innovation, focusing on the Horizon 2020 Work Programme for 2015. The event is organised by the European Commission's DG CONNECT in cooperation with the Italian Presidency of the EU, the Region of Tuscany, the Municipality of Florence and the University of Florence.
