Horizontal aspects of Innovation

The 6th European Innovation Summit program will feature conference sessions on important “horizontal” aspects of innovation, such as:

  • Framework conditions for innovation: mechanisms for balancing risk and benefits of science and technology
  • TTIP: How does it affect innovation in Europe
  • Horizon 2020: First impressions and experience
  • Regions – powerhouses of innovation
  • From research and innovation to economic value
  • The younger generations innovation summit
  • New EP Committee Chairs: a mandate for innovation

Sector-specific topics

Several parallel sessions are planned in sectors for which Innovation is the major resource to overcome the big challenges ahead:

  • Food security, sustainable agriculture and the bio economy
  • Secure, clean and efficient energy
  • Innovation in transport ( EIP in transport)
  • Innovation in the Health sector
  • Climate action, resource efficiency and raw materials
  • Big Data

The EIS partners have the opportunity to organize their own event on a topic of their choice, speak at conference sessions, present concrete cases from their day-to-day experience and demonstrate their RDI achievements at the EIS Exhibition Space.
